Was contact a few days before the 4th of July with this assignment. These are the Andertons, a wonderfully nice and gracious family. They are, rather were, deer farmers. They grew "wild deer" for sale to hunting leases and other uses. By all indications they are very fond of deer. Texas Fish and Wildlife accused them of importing out-of-state deer and subsequently came out and basically butchered nearly 80 deer. When I say butchered, I mean BUTCHERED. Prison time and lawsuits followed. Grab the new issue of the Dallas Observer today and have a read.
